List of the best stadiums in the NFL

It's been six months since the Rams won Super Bowl 56. But here we are: we're finally back in football season.

In the coming days and weeks, fans will flock to NFL stadiums. And while NFL stadiums may not have the character we see in baseball stadiums throughout baseball, they are all unique in their own way.

Working with the staff at For The Win, we are able to offer hands-on experiences for all 30 NFL stadiums and match them against the subjective criteria of overall ambiance, design, location, facilities, food, character and - of course - of the stadium itself They are all factors key in the overall gaming experience. Each rating is marked with its own author.

The 2022 season has arrived. Let's get ready!!!

Highmark Stadium - Buffalo Bills

"Garbage Stadium is surrounded by garbage fans." – visiting Patriots fans (which is not me, but who I contacted for this rating). This is a good thing for the city of Buffalo. The Highmark is a relatively intimate NFL stadium with limited facilities but a great tailgating scene that provides an appeal that the on-field product has failed to bring about in years.

TIAA Bank Field - Jacksonville Jaguars

TIAA Bank Field is an American football stadium in Jacksonville, Florida that serves primarily as the home of the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League and as the headquarters of the professional wrestling promotion All Elite Wrestling.

TIAA Bank Field is a football stadium! So there is. The location isn't horrible, it has all the amenities you would want including pizza, popcorn and hotdogs. Football!

FedEx Field - Washington Commanders

Sehen Sie, daran führt kein Weg vorbei.

Caesars Superdome - New Orleans Saints

The Superdome was an architectural marvel when it opened, but that was almost 50 years ago. It's a dump now and no renovation can make it good (although they try). On the other hand, it has one of the best gameday atmospheres in the league, and its walkable French Quarter location makes for an enjoyable experience. But man, the stadium is so bad. I can't stress this enough.

Soldier Field - Chicago Bears

Soldier Field is a strange mix of past and present, as if Laura Ingalls Wilder married a cyborg. Respect for field history means there is limited legroom and entry, leading to long waiting times to see which underwhelming quarterback will be sacked that day.

Nissan Stadium - Tennessee Titans

Your Madden Create-a-Franchise Stadium comes to life. It's not memorable, but the pedestrian bridge from the city center is a nice touch.

MetLife Stadium - New York Giants and Jets

MetLife Stadium - New York Giants and Jets

It lacks the prestige and history of other top stadiums on this list. It's a bit cookie-cutter in design (although thank goodness for the larger concourse of its predecessor!), and the food is nothing special. But it's fairly new, and that means it has some modern amenities.

Paycor Stadium - Cincinnati Bengals

This stadium has three things going for it: 1) it's one of only three NFL stadiums not named after a corporate sponsor (no longer), 2) it's next to a river, and 3) it looks great and has great views. The stadium gets so many points just by being near the river. The good thing about this river is that when you cross it you are in Kentucky and there are lots of great places to get some good bourbon. Apart from that, Paycor Stadium is an aesthetically pleasing venue. The open corner provides a cooler feel and a beautiful view of Cincy and the surrounding area.

Lincoln Financial Field - Philadelphia Eagles

While not the most modern NFL stadium, the Linc retains its charm for Eagles fans. Located in the heart of Philly Sports Complex, the tailgating scene is reminiscent of the college experience, although the beer at the stadium is a bit pricey. However, Linc is the perfect home for the Eagles fans who constantly throng the stadium, making it one of the most rugged street neighborhoods in the NFL.

NRG Stadium - Houston Texans

The retractable fabric roof is fantastic. The whole stadium also emits light from inside at night, which looks great. And it's so comfortable that watching the Final Four game there doesn't feel completely crazy. It would be so much better if it didn't just fall into Houston's freak sprawl (though it's probably Houston IS sprawl), but overall it's a great place to watch the game.

So, which is the biggest NFL stadium? MetLife Stadium in New Jersey takes the top spot with an officially listed capacity of 82,500 seats.
